Agreed - but the Caldari specialize in missiles and ECM. While I agree the other bombers are ridiculously underpowered, the Manticore should remain slightly on top. If you want to whine about this opinion remember that each race has boats that can best other ships in a given class.
Sorry to harp on about this, but...
3 launchers vs 2 launchers != slightly on top. That's more of a "bite the pillow" thing. And truth be told, stealth bombers...yeah, would make sense if the Caldari had a slight edge, agreed...but abovementioned difference is beyond that, it's rendering the other races' bombers obsolete.
Then, the argument comes "well, the Hound, Purifier and Nemesis can fit more damage mods!"...
Not neccesarily. I will blankly admit I do not have the PG figures readily available here, but from memory, where the Purifier (being Amarr, and thus being automatically endowed with nigh-on godly powergrid) slaps 3 x BCUs on and proceeds to joyously molest its opposition with EM cruise missiles, the Hound is caught a bit at crossroads. Speed? Well, Stealth Bombers don't set speed records. Cap? Like someone pointed out, the Hound has *less* base cap than a Manticore. Personally, I'd say that exp damage is not a half bad idea at all. If you hit a shield tank, exp damage isn't neccesarily hopelessly bad - or rather, it's the most likely to be unhardened, meaning you can assume it'll be at 60% for shields. For armor, well...1 exp hardener on armor still only brings it to, what...55% resisted? So, the Manticore goes for a three-times kinetic volley. Boom. Painful. Purifier stocks up on damage mods, and with upcoming stacking changes, enjoys a new world of hurt upon his enemies. Hound pilot just hits hard, given that above assumption isn't entirely off.
And then there's the Nemesis. 2 launchers, damage bonus to the (to my knowledge and experience) *most* resisted damage type in game. "Ah, but the stacking changes means you can just toss more damage mods on it", I can hear the Manticore pilots point out. ...In all of its two lowslots, yeah. Of which one isn't entirely unlikely to be taken up by a MAPC anyways.
Nemesis is shafted. That's really what's to say about it. And to think it could have been so cool, seeing the Tristan finally spliffed up and cool and red, and instead we get an anemic bubbleboy that looks like he ate the Michelin man. *sighs*
Sorry if I went offtopic, I just have a hard time finding any redeeming qualities for the Nemesis, cloaking- and stacking penalties nonwithstanding.
